This was created during the Paint the Town paint out in Marble Falls, Texas. We found a private spot  on a cul-de-sac overlooking the river. We were there to paint the sunset and this was a warm up. I painted this with a palette knife and swift strokes. It is available for purchase. $150.00

This was painted in Marble Falls during the Paint the Town paint out this past weekend. We were driving around looking for inspiration and passed the plant nursery. I made a mental note to return when the sun was right. We returned the next morning and painted there several hours. I painted this with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint. This painting sold.

This was painted plein air on Neri Road in Granbury, Texas. This is the perfect time of the to get outside and paint. It's also time for a lot of shows and festivals.  I will be participating in the "Paint the Town" paint out in Marble Falls, Texas. Saturday, April 15, 16, 17, 2011  The reception is on Saturday, April 16 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, we will have our Patron Preview Party for artists, sponsors and patrons beginning at Riverbend Fine Art, 710 1st St, and continuing to the Paint the Town exhibit space at 205 Main St for the presentation of awards. Complimentary appetizers and beverages will be served. Patrons must have a ticket to attend.

My friend Joyce Thomas and I have painted at this spot a number of times, but never at sunrise. We met early to make it in time to set up and be ready for the show. We had a great morning and were finished by noon. This is in Hood County on Neri Road. The locals pronouce it Knee Rye. This painting is available for purchase. $100.00

This was painted on location on Country Road 1004, just outside of Glen Rose, Texas. We were in search of bluebonnets on some of the back roads and our friend steered us to this spot. There are so many country roads to explore in this area. This one had great views all around us and a place I would love to return to soon. This was painted with a palette knife. I painted this yesterday morning on a nice back road outside of Glen Rose, Texas.  I called one of my local friends to find out where the bluebonnets were and her husband directed us to this sweet spot.  It was a quite and peaceful setting. The only traffic we saw were a car and a few bicycles.

This was another study completed in the Jill Carver workshop this week. We painted behind the Boyce Feed and Grain Corporation in Waxahachie, Texas. This grain yard was full of activity and a great place for the value study Jill was teaching.  I can't wait to get out and practice all she taught us. She packed a lot of information in the three day class.
