Just sold! I painted this peaceful scene on the last day of our Plein Air Painting and Photography Workshop in Santorini, Greece. Having loved taking in this view from our balcony for the past several days, I just had to capture that gorgeous overlook on canvas. With its beauty, white-washed buildings and the deep blue Aegean background, Santorini is one of the most romantic places we have visited. The table set for two invites you and your loved one to relax, enjoy a glass of wine and let all of your cares slip away. Paradise!

Inspired from our very first trip to Italy, I fell in love with everything about Venice. The city feels preserved in time with all transportation happening on water versus roads. The architecture, art, history, and people are all fascinating, the food and wine delicious, and it was such a romantic place to visit. So in this painting, I captured a lone gondola to convey that feeling of lazily drifting along with your loved one down this brick canal filled with history and future memories.

This was painted plein air on Neri Road in Granbury, Texas. This is the perfect time of the to get outside and paint. It's also time for a lot of shows and festivals.  I will be participating in the "Paint the Town" paint out in Marble Falls, Texas. Saturday, April 15, 16, 17, 2011  The reception is on Saturday, April 16 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, we will have our Patron Preview Party for artists, sponsors and patrons beginning at Riverbend Fine Art, 710 1st St, and continuing to the Paint the Town exhibit space at 205 Main St for the presentation of awards. Complimentary appetizers and beverages will be served. Patrons must have a ticket to attend.

This was created plein air from a location outside Acton Nature Center, Acton, Texas. My painting buddy, Jill Randall went to paint a sunset, but arrived early enough to paint one before. I was attracted to the bright light and deep shadows the late day sun did to the Cedar trees.

Finding a place to park the car and stand with a good view is a challenge. We found an old abandoned restaurant on top of the hill that was perfect for us. This painting is available for purchase.$100.00

This was on a fall morning at the Botanical Gardens in Ft. Worth. I was attracted to the dying foliage and changing leaves. They were glowing in the morning sun. This was painted with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.
