As we were nearing the end of our New England adventure, the temperature dropped 30 degrees overnight and we woke up to 20 degrees and frost the next morning. Luckily the view out our window was beautiful and I could continue to paint the magnificent fall foliage from the comfort of indoors that morning! The lace curtains at our b and b were so delicate and pretty and I liked how they gave the scene a sense of nostalgia, so I included them and the window frame in this view. In the distance, you can see the sunlight illuminating the fall colors frosting the rolling hills with a glimpse of the purple mountains peaking through all of that glory.
