"POND AND PASTURE" – plein air landscape oil painting by Texas modern impressionist Jimmy Longacre

Today's painting, entitled "POND AND PASTURE" is an 8"x10",  plein air study, oil on canvas panel, by Texas modern impressionist Jimmy Longacre. 

The painting was done on a friend's ranch, near my studio, in the Texas Hill Country.  I could feel the spring turning to summer.  The bright greens of spring starting to quiet down, and the absence of the profusion of wildflowers.
