This pastel was selected for the Pastel Society of Colorado’s annual international show held this August at the MADDEN Museum in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Here are those marshes again – I just love to paint them! This is a bolder version and I tend to really experiment with color when I am painting with those luscious pastels! I love to have artists come for a getaway to our high altitude ranch in western Colorado. We ride around in an old camouflaged Bronco with no doors, roof or windows, but with plenty of room for the art gear! The ranch is loaded with aspens – I only put a few of them in this painting!
