"Symphony in Springtime" - New Abstract Texas Wildflower Painting by Niki Gulley

“Symphony in Springtime" ©2020 Niki Gulley
36" x 36" textured oil painting on wrap around canvas

In this painting, I wanted to capture the rhythm, color, and density of our bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush and vibrant wildflowers flowing along the grassy rises and falls of our berms in the Texas Hill Country. Making sure not to over blend my thick strokes so that you could see the marks and feel the energy found in nature. Repeating patterns and waves of color create a harmony within the painting, while rendering the blooms and their surroundings abstractly plays with taking a traditional subject matter and showing it in a contemporary way.

  1. As reported by Stanford Medical, It is indeed the one and ONLY reason women in this country live 10 years more and weigh 42 pounds less than us.

(And actually, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret diet and really, EVERYTHING about "HOW" they eat.)

BTW, I said "HOW", and not "WHAT"...
