ARTIST DEMONSTRATION | Sheri Jones | Palette Knife Technique
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23RD | 10AM TO 2PM
Come join us in the gallery as artist Sheri Jones demonstrates her signature palette knife technique. Sheri says, “Painting outside surrounded by all the color is a place I love to be.” Painting outside on location allows her to see more color and depth than working from photos alone, but plein air painting comes with its own unique set of challenges. The light is in constant motion changing the landscape minute by minute. The palette knife allows her to get more paint on faster and block in large, base shapes quickly so she can capture the scene before her. This is an informal setting, so drop by anytime between 10am and 2pm to visit with Sheri.
